I was curious to know... I see alot of websites put a ton of keywords of there niche at the bottom of there page usually a color close to white. Its usually anywhree from 10-50 different keywords Is this a bad thing to do or a good thing?
I would not take this approach. Developing a good navigational strategy will provide much better benefits for your site. I use a sidebar or top navigational bar to get to the important sections of my sites. Once you drill down to the articles on my site they will include some related links in addition to the main navigational links. This allows me to provide a consitent navigational link to visitors and provide good quality links between related articles.
VERY BAD, google will eventually penalize your site for such SEO tactics... Its so open but the truth is that some webmaster still continue to do it....if you want to cram keywords, one should build some content around the pages
i m agree with kiviniar.never use this type of trick, there is more chances for your site to panelized for keyword spamming.
Is that really necessary, i think the bots are capable enough for detecting such spam and have previously known to have penalized such sites.. I have seem a lot of keyword spamming being merged with the bg color, sites with high PR but with no serps value
Dood...if you find a KW spamming page in the index (SERP) then OBVIOUSLY the algo isn't catching it... that is what the Spam reporting tool is FOR.... It is RARELY the algo..it is usually some one reporting a site that get's it tanked
We have 2-3 competitors doing exactly that, I know they have been reported often for couple of years now, they are still there. It is cheating, it is spamming, they are reported often and nothing happens.
