Hi there iam just wondering does anyone know of any good tools for adwords selection ive heard good thing about adwords analyzer and http://www.niche-keywords.cjb.net but haven't purchased anything yet. Any Tips Anyone?
I don't understand why a tool other than the AdWords suggestion tool and perhaps WordTracker would be needed in choosing AdWords to bid on? I certainly don't do a ton of PPC but whenever I do I just sit down with WordTracker to find a list of related terms used and then decide which terms are too general or too specific and so forth... What type of tool are looking for? What do you want it to help you do?
If you perform searches on Teoma or Alta Vista, they both have "related subjects" that can offer you some ideas for new keywords.
You can find some keyword suggestion tools inside this webpage SEOCHAT.COM Google suggestion tool http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-suggestions-google/ Overture suggestion tool http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-suggestions-overture/ I will also suggest you to check incorrect typing, http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-typo-generator/ I found these tools really usefull, because it shows you at the same time keywords and relevance; it's online and it's free.
I normally utilize adwords suggestion tool / overture / wordtracker and then paste them all in Excel - I then filter by uniques. Then I find the common factors, and break them down into three sections (most phrases can be broken down this way). Then I run it through a really easy script found at this (http://www.ryanturner.com/keyword-combination-tool.php) That way I can manipulate and grow my list anytime I want. Include or exclude words and generate a great deal of words. Remember - its very useful to get every combination for adwords / adsense - and I have found that that process works well for me.
BTW: I could really use any feed back what-so-ever on the little tool. I am thinking about expanding it primarly for google adwords - being that I can adjust broad match / phrase match and negative word combinations... in order to provide a stronger tool... I would also think ... something that stored your combo's for you would be useful. Let me know. keyword combination tool
before I even look at any keyword suggestion tools (and I only use the free ones from Google, Overture and 7Search), I will read and carefully study the page I'm about to optimize. I'll then get in the mindset of a consumer who would be looking for the product on that page as a repeat purchase (they already know about the product and want to buy more but can't find it, so they google it!). In this mindset, I will think of all the phrases that I would use to find the specific product. I try to create a list of 20-30 key phrases using this method. Once my list is completed, I will use the tools from google and overture. Usually I find one or two I didn't think of, but for the most part my list is complete and contains several phrases that they didn't list in their results. I usually find if I optimize to my set of terms instead of just the suggested terms from the tools, my list will out win the tools list everytime. Meaning, the keywords that AREN'T listed within the suggestion tools lists still get a lot of search traffic. Those tools are designed for PPC mostly, and only report on keyterms that bids on them. There are a lot of words that are being left out.
also, using search engines suggestions like: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en Also, ask.com, yahoo offer 'related searches' which can sometimes give useful ideas
It's a nice tool. But from my point all tools are useless untill you don't work harder on keyword reasearch. Well those kinda tools shows what are the keywords of your website and how many people using to search it. Instead of this use your brain if your are consumer then what wil lou prefer to write in the search engine if you want to buy or get service.
