Keyword Selection: How exactly do they help?

    I recently added a meta tag and selected specific keywords for my site. But, I was wondering how specifically do these keywords affect a crawler or robot? If anyone has an explaination I would greatly appreciate it.

    Yes the meta tags have strong influence to crawler of search engines. And you must know that all websites need strong backlinks for SEO.

    I highly recommend you to put keyword to meta tags as follow:
    1. title - 1 time
    1. description - 1 time
    1. keyword - different keywords

    very important, try to search google or any famous engine, you will find the seach keyword will appear in all sites titles
