Is there any tool out there that i could use that tells you exactly how many searches of a certain keywords there was made each day on yahoo, google, or msn? Mostly because i wasn't to sure on what keywords to try to rank for so i just decided to rank for "best electronics deals" without doing any research. When i typed that in in yahoo i'm #4 but never a click from it. Just wanted to see how many people exactly type that keyword or any other keyword on the 3 major search engines?

You can not get those exact numbers. Shawn's tool accesses both Overture and Wordtracker: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/

It can give you and idea of what words to go for, don't take the numbers as the number of searches done per day though. Use them more as a scale to compare to each other.

Well i've seen this overture tool before. I want something different. Something that tells you exactly how many searches are done for certain keywords on yahoo, msn and google, not overture. My concern is that without doing keyword research i decided to try to rank for "best electronics deals" and when searching on yahoo i was #4 and on msn $1, and on google not ranking maybe sandbox, not sure. But my concern is that i havne't gotten one hit from this keyword yet. Either i picked a wrong keyword that no one ever searches or something people just don't click my site. Not sure.

btw do you guys think ranking #1 for a keyword that's only searched 94 times per month is good? What do i need to do now?

MSN and Google don't disclose their numbers, so...

Well if you assume every person who searches for that keyword clicks on the #1 results than that is only 3 people a day. Not exactly the type of traffic that will make a fortune. If you are going to go after rarely searched for keywords you are going to need a ton of them to get traffic.

With a site like yours you are probably best doing on page optimization of your product pages in hopes of getting lots of random searches. Obviously the more content you have the more search phrases you will rank for.

Also then you might want to optimize some of your best selling pages with some linking.

well if they don't disclose their information then i guess the best thing to do is just use these keyword suggestion tools as much as i can. and make the best of it.

i'll continue trying to rank for "best electronics deals" so that after time i'll rank well for "electronics deals" a much more searched keyword.

out 94 , may be 25-50% would be your searches done by you to check your ranking, compititor check etc. etc.
if you remove "best" out, its good keyword and let people decide whether "electronics deals" is best or not ;)

Actually there is a program that will tell you how many searches are done each day on any keyword or group of keywords. It is not free however I know they do allow downloading a full working version or at least a demo version. It is called market samurai. You can look that keyword up and you should find them.
