Keyword search data - something strange happening

A member of staff was recently away on business and accessing our site during that time.

He uses Firefox and uses the Google Search box in the Firefox navigation toolbar for searching.
On one occasion he put a search phrase "mysite speed" - this brought him to our site. He did not enter this phrase again in the search box.

However, for the duration of his time away Google Analytics registered keyword searches for "mysite speed" - multiple times (39) - across multiple days, from the same network location (we're as confident as possible that this could only have been from his pc).

So... he searched for this term once, then used the search box to search for other search terms but Google analytics repeatedly registered Google searches for "mysite speed" thereby skewing the search data for the phrase "mysite speed".

This is worrying for the point of view of reliable reporting so i'd like to understand what happened here. Has anyone seen this before?

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but his browser homepage is our website.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

this sometimes happens when you have comments enabled on your site and people start spamming. your site becomes relevant for something you didnt want.
how many people have you got coming?

    Hi Alexei

We haven't got comments enabled on our site, we do have online chat though (Olark.com).

The situation is that it was one member of staff accessing our site, he used the keyword phrase "mysite speed" once but there are multiple keyword search in Google Analytics - all of these come from the same network location (i.e. the hotel he was staying in) therefore we know all these searches (39 total) for "mysite speed" are being attributed to him - yet - he only entered this search term once in Google. Also he went online in the airport lounge and again we can identify searches (2), for "mysite speed" from this network location despite the fact that he did not search for it here. So again, he searched for "mysite speed" once - yet there are 39 searches from the hotel he was in for this term and 2 from the airport lounge he was in.

    Mystery...!
