keyword rich text placement

    Hi

A while back I was told to place a paragraph or two of keyword-rich text at the top of my homepage (beneath the header) because the SEs like the info at the top when they scan.

I've had it like this for a while but now someone else said you can put it lower down (so I can put things more relevant to the customer at the top instead) because the bots reduce the page to code hence it will still be read the same.

Basically I wanted to add a few images at the top in place of the text. Will it have a negative impact on my rankings?

    Thanks

Keyword spamming is no good. Two to three keywords in every paragraph will works well.

Adding images to any part of an existing page will not hurt you. Just make sure that you fill out the "alt" attribute.

As for keyword spamming, this is a "copy & past" answer guy who is just looking for Sig Links. They don't even read the thread.

Thanks, you'd have thought if he was going to copy and paste an answer he would find something with good grammar

Ok so we think dropping the text below some new images will have no impact on rankings - that's good news :)
