Damn! i am getting frustrated. Couldnt get a domain name with my 2-3 good keywords. I was looking at good keyword rich domain names and it seems they are getting exhausted day by day. Looks like domain names with keywords would be completely out in next 5 years. Earlier short domains, now keyword domains, dont know what would be next trend in domain market.
yeah! i meant only .com. If its no more .com then its not worth it. I dont know people say still .com rules than any other extensions.
i still feel that keyworded domains are easy to promote and people recognize/remember them easily. Heard that they rank well in G with SEO. How people pick the domains with one or more keywords? with dash(-) or without dash? I normally take dashed ones if there is 3 keywords like www.best-php-scripts.com (which i own).
I have the same delema. I think I'm addicted to buying them. I think I have found a good one for my niche, but don't do enough research. I have atleast 10 useless domains just sitting. Its hard to decide if I should do something with them, or am I wasting my time. I see domains without keywords in the top results sometimes. The owners must know all the tricks. The dash theory seems to work if you can get the visitors to bookmark the site.
What "Dash" theory? Do they get higher rankings in the SERPS as opposed to their non-dashed counterparts?
I snagged 5 3-keyword .coms this week and a few others, and began building sites for them last night. They are becoming REALLY hard to find. God damn squatters.
Using dashes makes it easier to find domains, but the reason is because they are crap and people can't remember them.
i wonder how many people remember a domain name when they visit site. I feel that they give a damn about domain name, as long as your site finds top of search results and of course with useful content.
Keywords in the domain don't make you instantly top the SERPs so there's no good reason to choose hyphenated over non-hyphenated. If you get a hyphen you are limiting yourself to SEO, you will get no type-ins.
anyone have the statistic about list keywords and which is the common keyword was search in the world?
Yes, but no one is going to be typing in a three word domain name anyway so that's a moot point. My question is, which is more valuable: the .net of that domain or the dashed version in .com?
Most of the good 2-3 keyword domains would have been snapped up by domainers already. You still might be able to find some if you search very hard for them though
Unbelieveable, i've got 100s of keyword domains regged since 97-99 and cant even sell them for $40 and here people are saying they cant get any.. I give up.
Can you give us an example of one of your best domains? I'd like to know what a good "keyword domain" looks like.
