    Hello people,

Although I have experience creating websites and am from an IT background i am far from being very knowledgeable about SEO etc, hopefully I can learn what there is to know from people off here.

I have a successful site, a car club which when i post new articles they get put into google within minutes, however I have another website (one which I am now trying to improve and put any skills to practice) basically... it is www.QuotesForInsurance.co.uk, which I thought would be quite good in google because of the name, however, when i type quotes for insurance into google I am not there at all.

Could anyone shed any light into why perhaps i am not? Any tips for me? (Please be nice, hehe).

Domain name is only a small factor among hundreds of others that Google uses in their algorithms when ranking websites.

Look up any basic SEO guide to get started.

Even a keyword in domain name could be a big help, it has to come along with link building to archive the results you desired. You cannot expect to archive high ranking for high competitive keywords like in insurance niche by just having a domain with keyword contained.

However, since the help of keyword in domain so you would archive better results with a few "quality" links anyway.

It doesn't mean that your website will rank 1 if you have a keyword rich domain. You need to work on backlinks.
