I'm starting a luxury car rental company, and am wondering if I should give it a "regular" name (i.e. Prestige Auto Rentals), or something keyword rich, like New York [or whatever my location is] Car Rental. Would that help, because I'm fairly certain that we're going to get most of our new leads from the net, meaning mostly Google, and I really want to make sure that our site is way up there in "Local Results," general engine search, as well as AdWords. So my question is: would having a keyword rich name like that help? And if so, how do I go about finding out what the best keywords are, say for people who want to rent a luxury car in New York (or wherever) - how do I find out what they search for, how do I pick the right few keywords? Thanks guys.
Yes a keyword domain is what you should be looking for best SEO, then use keywords in title and description that compliment the site.
Thanks, but just the domain or the company name itself as well? Also, how do I find out which keywords people who are searching for this service are using?
1.A keyword in the domain name these days are getting more enhanced position from google in search. You can get traffic if you select the right keyword. However , may be not so useful to promote a brand like Prestige Auto Rentals coz people will know you by search position.Gradually when this url weightage criteria gets less importance what will you do ? 2.To Research Keywords you can use Google AdWords Keyword Tool (supports Geo Location keyword tracking) and word tracker. 3.You can also get a broad picture what keywords are bringing traffic to your business competitor websites with online tools like SEODigger.com and SpyFU.com 4.Select keywords which have less competition for example If the keyword is Car Rental Newyork Type in google intext:Car Rental Newyork & inanchor:Car Rental Newyork a The lesser the search result , the less competitive the keyword is. 5.Professionally Keyword Research is carried out using couple of tools...like IBP and market Samurai
