Hey. I posted a question in the SEO forum but got no reply.. so i'm hoping to get some help here.
I have a keyword that has 200,000 results on google without quotes, but has 7,000,000 results with quotes. What does this mean? I want to know if I should attempt to conquer this keyword. I for sure would if it was 200,000 results, but the 7,000,000 results WITH quotes is throwing me off.. I don't want to waste my efforts..
usually theres alot less results with keywords.
any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

by asking google to search using "" you are asking for it to find every single example of that term.
remove the "" and you are asking google what it thinks is most relavent.

Wrapping your search term in quotes give you a better idea of how many other websites/pages are competing for the exact same phrase. Searching without quotes, will only give you variations of said phrase (non exact).

Personally, I don't pay any attention to KEI. If the term is searched for and suits my content, I'll target it.
