You don't know how to do a proper keyword research and at the same time you are providing SEO courses?
You can research location wise keywords from Google ad words tools. Its very helpful to search keywords.
You can use the free Google AdWords Keyword Tool. Additionally, when you enter a keyword into the search tool, a list of related keywords is returned to you as well, making it easy to broaden your research and find the best keywords for your website or blog
Plz make you keywords according to your website and own thinks...like: If you want to geografical visiter target then you need to add geografical words with your keywords...exp. your website niche is 'computer repair' and you want to target in 'melborn' then your keyword will be 'computer repair melborn' and it's supportive keywords will be computer repair in melborn, computer repair shop in melborn and many... So plz use your mind to create a keyword.
I normally use Google External Keyword Tool & SEMrush (for checking on competitor kws). I pick my keywords from 4 sources: 1. Google Keyword Tool - keyword ideas based on my niche and location 2. Competitors' Keywords - using Google Tool / SEMrush 3. Top traffic kws from Google Analytics data - last 3months 4. Google Webmaster Tools - Top queries for my site I use different font colors for the 4 types of kws. I pick out duplicate/dual kws. Then I sort based on Competition, Search Volume (based on my location/global), Google Ranking, Google Analytics Traffic I pick out 12-15 Primary Kws, then say 20-30 secondary kws.
There is nothing difficult about keyword research and this is my take, its not rocket science but common sense How much time do you spend research keywords to market your business, a few seconds, minutes, hours or weeks, there is no real answer but the estimated research time for Keyword Selection is generally between 3 to 20 hours or if you are a novice up to 40 hours. The more time spent on research the better your chances of success. On occasions I have spent up to a month analysing data. When you first come up with a keyword idea enter it into a Google search box and look to see how many pay per click (PPC) adverts are on the results page, the more the better, if there are none I suggest you choose another keyword. Next look at the top results and using Alexa examine the traffic and links, the lower the Alexa ranking the better. You also need to look at the web site design to check on the metatag information to discover what keywords are being targeted, because they will be your competitors in marketing your business. When you are starting out you are of course keen for success but sometimes you may be better to start with a long tailed keyword, which contains your main keyword, if you use the Google Keyword tool this will help select alternative keywords. Selecting your keyword is the first stage of marketing your business, next you will need to build a web site, blog or landing page, remembering, that you need to include your main keyword in the domain name, title and metatags.
There are lots of tool to do the keyword research as Google adword, word tracker, keyword discovery, semrush and so on. Most of them are paid except Google adword. You are able to do keyword research with any of these tool. If you want to do it manually then i suggest you to use Google adword. While doing the keyword research keep one thing one in mind always keep those keywords that have less competition and higher searches You are able to calculate the KEI with the help of searches and competition. KEI = (volume of searches per month)^2/(total number of competitors) Do not rely totally on the KEI value when selecting Keywords use this only as a guide.
I use market samurai for all my keyword research. It's amazing. It can give you a full break down of all the competition and searches. Check it out.
I use semrush& google adwords tool combo for proper keyword research. 1) write down a few keywords related to your niche 2) enlarge list with your friends, performing brainstorm 3) go to semrush to find out more keywords, find out long-tails, and see which words use your competitors. 4) Then you can go to GA and check stats for each keywords, but semrush also good in this. Only problem with semrush that it's data is a bit inaccurate at the end of the month, because they make an update at the first day of each month. Hope this will help you! good luck!
