Hi - keyword research is important if you want to start a new website or want to search for new topics for your existing page.
    Here 2 options I use:

https://adwords.google.de/KeywordPlanner - google keyword planner (free) - this helps you to find new moneykeys beside your topic - Example: graphiccard it might be good to have topics about gaming cards, drivers and so on - these keys have a high cpc price on adsense.

http://ubersuggest.org/ - this keyword suggesting tool give you an idea of keywords matching to your main keyword. Example: your page is about graphiccards new topics could be about: software, stress test, slots, specs, and so on.

If you have more questions - tell me :) - if this helps ... :) thank

It really shouldn't be that difficult. Are you looking for homepage keywords or inner-page keywords? Obviously you want to keep it as relevant as possible. When it comes to inner-page keywords I recommend looking for the long-tail 3 or 4 word keyphrases. When it's homepage you should try and target the slightly tougher keyphrases which get more searches. For starters, I'd pick maybe 2 or 3 keyphrases per page and work on those. Start with the homepage and then gradually work into your inner-pages.
