Hi all, i'm creating a simple keyword research software and will need a few testers if i can find volunteers. Basicaly the tool works like that: 1. You enter the keyword you're interested in. 2. The software then logs into AdWords KeywordTool and fetches all the data like similar keywords, CPC, search volumes, etc. 3. It then queries google for each keyword returned by adwords and finds the pagerank for every result in 1st serp. having all the pageranks and search volumes we get a very very good estimate of how much the keyword is worth to focus on. E.g. if you find a keyword that has 10K+ monthly searches, yet google's returned top10 pages have pageranks of 0-2, you can definitely create a page using that keyword as a title and get in 1st serp right in a few hours. I've done this myself with a few keywords already found and it really works 4 times out of 5. I only need one link from my main domain (pr4 only) pointing to that new article to get into 1st or 2nd serp the same day. And if that keyword has some real search volume - i easily get a few hundreds of visitors per day from that moment on. These keywords are often the ones with a low CPC though, but nothings keeps you from mentioning some higher priced related keywords in the same article to get pretty good value from adsense clicks too. I think i should have a pretty well working beta for this software the next Tuesday or so, if you're interested to test it - pm me.
I'm also thinking of the way i could earn something from that tool What you guys think, if i made this tool free to use, though all the data users gather about their keywords go to main server to be stored in the database. That way i could keep the software free, but sell the access to the main database containing lots of already processed keywords? Do you think that would be fair/ethical?
And here's an example of what it returns (used keyword "children" in this case) [KeyWord], CPC in $, Avg. Search Volume, Last Month Searches, PageRanks for TOP10 pages return by Google, Average pagerank of those TOP10 (the pageranks a multiplied by 100 in this report, so [400] = PR4, etc.) [children and divorce], 1.643148, 3600, 3600, [300][400][500][500][400][400][200][300][400][300], 3.7, [children], 1.169746, 165000, 165000, [600][700][600][500][700][700][700][600][600][700], 6.4, [special needs children], 1.320438, 2900, 2900, [500][600][400][500][400][500][500][400][500][600], 4.9, [adhd children], 1.930402, 1900, 1300, [500][600][500][400][700][400][500][N/A][300][700], 4.6, [autistic children], 1.351033, 4400, 3600, [600][400][500][700][400][500][300][N/A][500][500], 4.4, [children books], 1.751669, 9900, 9900, [600][600][700][600][300][400][700][500][600][600], 5.6, [save the children], 2.454115, 12100, 12100, [700][500][700][500][700][500][600][600][400][500], 5.7, [children activities], 0.90386, 3600, 3600, [300][400][400][600][500][700][500][600][400][600], 5, [raising children], 0.877781, 2400, 1900, [700][600][300][N/A][600][400][400][500][500][400], 4.4, [children hospital], 1.641319, 5400, 5400, [700][600][600][600][500][700][600][600][500][600], 6, [children stories], 1.053117, 4400, 5400, [600][400][600][300][400][400][600][500][300][600], 4.7, [children clothes], 0.94, 4400, 4400, [500][400][500][400][500][400][400][400][500][600], 4.6, [children playing], 0.865393, 6600, 4400, [200][300][400][400][300][400][N/A][400][300][500], 3.2, Code (markup): We can then process that data, e.g. find searches divided by average PR, sort all the data, etc. And the best part is we can do that all automated for thousands of keywords.
