I am wondering if my keyword meta tag falls under keyword repetition.

los angeles, los angeles california, los angeles ca, los angeles hotels, los angeles travel, los angeles restaurants, los angeles nightlife, los angeles bars, los angeles shopping, los angeles real estate, los angeles businesses, los angeles attorneys, los angeles doctors, yellow pages, los angeles reviews, los angeles insurance

or should I have the tag be this:
los angeles, los angeles california, los angeles ca, hotels, travel, restaurants, nightlife, bars, shopping, real estate, businesses, attorneys, doctors, yellow pages, reviews, insurance

I am not quite what falls under keyword repetition, if someone could shed some light on this for me...

    Thanx

It doesn't matter. The only search engines that still use keyword tags these days are the sort used by Latvian Philosophy students. Google and Bing/Yahoo certainly don't

By the way i'd like to recommend a good keyword research tool - semrush, it will help you to find necessary keywords..

Focus on your primary keywords, and work on your seo OFF SITE. Way better results. Little emphasis is placed on meta tags.

Keyword tags dont help for seo.But you add them as page description meta tag and title properly.I would suggest you to convert them as nice sentence to make it look good.

Keyword tag is not of any use now, main focus must be title and description tags, Instead of using los angeles so many time, why not use different title tag and use los angeles in them. Title and H1 tag of each page are key, so use best keywords in them.

although the engines don't have much use for meta tags anymore, it may be premature to say they ignore them.

They may be the 'fallback' option if the algo can't determine a clear page theme.

Keyword repetition anywhere on a page, btw, is probably a bad idea. You have no guarantee it won't suddenly get picked up and used against you, whatever the current perceived wisdom of the SEO community is.

*shrugs* they say they ignore them in the most unequivocal language possible

    A: In a word, no."
