Improving Your Page Rank on Google
1 Get Inbound Links - Since Google ranks your pages according to the number of links pointing at your page, it stands a reason that you should try to get more links pointing at your pages as possible.

2 META Title Tag and description Tag - Google ignores the META keywords tag, so, the optimization of this tag is not helpful now days as per google.

3 Content pages -It has often been observed that Google considers keyword density a large factor in ranking pages in search engine results, more so than many other search engines.

4 Keyword-Links - According to a paper published by one of Google's founder, if the links pointing to your page has the relevant keyword text in them, it will cause your page to be ranked higher in search engine results.

Secondly, there is little difference in optimizing site for google and yahoo or Bing. As the algorithm of both is different. If you optimize for google you will get results in yahoo or Bing in more time but if you optimize for yahoo you will not get good ranks in google.

I would also like to add a link to guidelines of Google Webmaster. So Improving Your Page Rank on Google.

Make sure that you are building good links to your page. In addition to this you may want to look over your site and make sure that you have good content and that your site is easily readable for google. i.e. If you want to rank for a specific keyword, have that keyword present somewhere on your home page.

Because Google requires lots of marketing strategy and MSN and Yahoo based on more over on META TAGS thing while Google needs fresh content so try to make your contents unique and informative

Ummm because each search engine has their own ranking algorithm that looks at and weighs their own various ranking factors differently from the other engines. Yahoo and Bing are relatively easy to rank in generally speaking because their algorithms appear to be much simpler. Google has a much more complex algorithm with a much higher emphasis on quality and relevance. So it's generally more difficult to achieve and maintain good rankings there.

I think your previous backlinks are mostly from no-follow backlinks or Yahoo site answering types. Hope you clarify that.
