I just got around to making my first affiliate marketing website and I already have presented a question for myself.

Lets say you want to rank for the keyword phrases (how to make money online AND how to earn cash online)

Lets also say that these were going to be your two main keyword phrases for your homepage.

Would you make the keywords and tags for your homepage.....

(how, to, make, money, earn, cash, online) OR
(how, to, make, money, online, how, to, earn, cash, online) OR
(how to make money online, how to earn cash online)

Please help :) I have fallen a bit off track with the concept. I searched for answers but never found what I was looking for.

Here's what I do with no proof to back it up: Using your example, I would do, "Make money, make money online, earn cash, earn cash online"

Specific is good... but I throw the less-specific keywords in there because google will find those as well, and depending on the competition you might rank for 2 terms at once!

And I would not do "earn, cash, online" because .. well... there's no way I'll rank for either of those terms by themselves! BUt I guess it doesnt hurt to throw them in there

I have heard that by doing the keywords in this format (earn, cash, online) it will rank you for the phrase (earn cash online) hence why I am asking :)
