Keyword Proximity and prominence are the two interrelated terms in On page optimization of a web page. Keyword Prominence: Keyword Prominence means the importance of your keyword position in a web page to a search engine. For example:if you have a web page and keep your main or targeted keyword on the top of your page then it will be more considered by Google in its relevant search query as compared to others web pages targeted with same keyword but on different position.So make sure that you have write your main keyword on the top of your web page, paragraph's starting, etc. Keyword Proximity: Keyword Proximity means how close your main keywords to each other. If your main keywords will be more close to each other than they will be more considered by Google in its search query and result. For example: "weight loss Product" and "product for weight loss" are two keywords then weight loss product will have high proximity because the keywords are more close to each other and there is not any use of "stop words"(and, or for, etc) as in "product for weight loss" keyword.
