Hi everybody, I am working on a US project and I am from India. In India Google.com, most of our keywords are in 1st and 2nd page but coming to US results, our site is over 600 for our imp keywords. And in Google webmaster tools it is showing another result in different locations. Can anybody tell me to rectify this problem. Thank you,
Google.com will give you different results combinations based on IP address as well as local search. I'm not in the U.S. but when I want to see what Google.com SERPS look like for a U.S. visitor I use the Google search service on AOL.com Having tested it with a U.S. proxy it seems to returns the same results as a regular U.S. visitor would get for Google.com.
Thank you for ur opinion. I am also checked the from our US server also, there is a huge difference b/w our result. My query is: i got the result in India Google.com, but not in US Google.com. Why these two results are not same (may be small difference but there is a lot of of difference in the two SERP). How to get into the US SERP?, even i got it in India...
Check on what other google centers rank on particular keywords. vaughns-1-pagers.com/internet/google-data-centers.htm
I already checked in other Google data centers, in all other data centers my site is at 2nd page and in good position. Only in the US, the result is very bad.
Karunakar, I think I understand the problem more clearly now. That is certainly a tricky one. A good while back ( before I had any grasp of different results from different data centers) I was targeting a keyphrase for the U.K. market (including distinctly British spelling). I was in the top ten on Google.com and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting any significant traffic. That's when I learned about more about Data centers and geo-targeted results. Turns out the term harder to rank for in it's target market. Now the reason I mention this is that once I figured it out, I got more links from .co.uk and .org.uk domains and after a while that sorted the problem. I know this is only anecdotal evidence but I am inclined to believe that it is what made the difference. Maybe getting links from site that deal with very U.S. centric topics related to yours might help?
Thank u Desman for ur reply, I am agreed with u, and i got the same thought. In fact, now i am working on US server.
You're very welcome As I said, my experience is by no means definitive but hopefully the general direction could be useful to you.
As u said, By advanced search in the US region, the result is showing our website in first page but in US our site is at above 600. I checked it, and now i am directly checking by accessing the US server. Thank you for ur reply,
