Keyword optimized pages or whole site?

    I have a quick question regarding SEO. As I've built my pages i've noticed that i'm repeating a few keywords over and over and my question is this;

    Do the keywords found within the site a whole count towards google's relevance or is simply on a page by page basis? For instance I have a truck website (i dont) and I use the word chevy all over the place in various articles, blog posts, etc. Do i now have a better chance of ranking high in google for chevy for my main page?

    Thanks!

    yes and no,

    if you repeat a keyword many times you definitely have better chance to rank well, but if you overdo it you can be penalized for overoptimization.

    so keep your keyword density 3 to 4% and spread your text as natural as possible.
