Keyword Optimization - What is Best?

    Hey Guys,

Its known that if we give keywords as parts or as long tail with our pages, both methods will do the same with search engines

[for example consider this keyword - keyword optimization methods and keyword, optimization, methods]. Both will be same as the search term for both will be like keyword+opimization+methods

But personally what is the best for you? Giving it as (long tail) Keyword Optimization Methods or as (comma separated single words) Keyword, Optimization, Methods ?

    Thanks for your feedback.

I use long tail separated by commas. :)
For example: Keyword Optimization Methods, Keyword Optimization Tools, Keyword Optimization Tips, Keyword Optimization Lessons, etc.

This is just what I do though, and it works for me. What works for me may not work for others.

Eek! Major internet (and possibly network/server) lag caused my post to post three times when I hit resend upon failure to post! Mods, please delete this post and the two other post they are duplicates. It was a complete accident. :)

    Brandon,

suppose if we are actually targeting the keyword 'Keyword Optimization' and Building links for 'keyword optimization methods', 'keyword optimization tools' etc at the beginning because of the competition and also consider the site is new. So what do you think about this? the same links can help for the keyword 'Keyword Optimization' too? Or do we have to build another (an all new campaign) set of links for Keyword Optimization?

    Thanks.

Are you telling that we have to give "Keyword-Optimization-Methods" As the keyword and anchor text (when building keyword oriented link building)? Don't you think that search engines will take this as "Keyword+ - +Optimization+ - + Methods"?? I still believe that avoiding dashes with keywords will do more. And only use with 'link urls' when the actual url is not available.... I'm not sure about this though.

But my main question is about better se friendly chance to a keyword (asking whether its parted ones or long tail ones)
    Thanks for your reply.

If you are targeting keyword optimization methods as keyword phrase, then you find similar long tail keywords to this string and use them as comma separated values in your meta keywords and write appropriate meta description by framing full sentence using the keywords etc. and everything should be just fine.

    Hello,

thanks for the reply. But I'm not asking about how to target/optimize a keyword. I just wanted to know which one is more appropriate while targeting keywords. I mean if I'm writing a blog targeting the keyword - 'Free Blogging Tips' whats most effective to optimize the page by building links and by giving keywords? Giving Free, Blogging, Tips etc? Or giving Free Blogging Tips? Also what if I am building links anchoring 'Free Online Blogging Tips'? Will this also help the keyword 'Free Blogging Tips'?

    No my friend.. :(

:) I would like to know your preference. For example suppose your are making a blog post about - say 'Easy methods to get adsense profit' (aiming keyword 'Easy Adsense Profit') So while you add tags (keywords) for the post will you be giving - Easy, Adsense, Profit or Easy adsense profit? If so why?

And one more thing suppose you are going to build backlinks for the blog post. What is the best anchor text? Easy methods to get adsense profit or Easy Adsense Profit. And also tell me this also - If we go for long tail keywords will it help for the inside small keywords too? I mean, can Easy methods to get adsense profit be considered for Easy Adsense Profit too?

Sorry If I'm confusing.. But thanks if you can share something. :)

Here's my take on this question... and it's very simple... no matter what keyword(s) or keyword phrases you are attempting to target... it needs to be approximately 3% to 6% density in your blog or web page. "Easy Adsense Profit" .... make that phrase be 3% to 6% dense in your article/content.

The title of your blog post would be something like you wrote "Easy methods to get adsense profit" ... but the keyword phrase in your blog should be shorter... 2-4 keywords... and between 3% to 6 % density found.

Commas do matter in meta tags... but not in content of a webpage or blog.

Do not "stuff" your keyword(s) or keyword phrases in more than 10% ... or search engines will penalize that.

The other thing is that your keyword(s) or keyword phrases must flow naturally in the content ... they can't just be "Stuffed" on your page illogically.

    Hope this helps!
    Dan

    friend,

thanks for your reply. But with my experience (with blogging am saying) for several keywords google gave etc care on the entire word like 'Easy Adsense Profit' and never cared the comma separated once. Also What you think about giving anchor text when we build external links?
