Keyword management tool: any advices?

I have thousands of keywords for my new adwords campaing and now I have to sort them, break into groups and write for each group separate ad.

I'm pretty scared when I think that I have to sort my list manually, because I did it several times before.

Is there any tool to do it for me?

yeah bara I've the same problem

I've researched a lot on the keyword management softwares..

    2 have come up
n I'm thinking to buy one of them:

    thedowser
    keyword companion

the last one is just released n the big gurus are raving about it
    so it looks good

    though kinda pricey at $147
but to save time n headache n manage it right - it's worth it

    n the dowser..
    it's a good one too.
    am off to check it..

You do not need a third part tool:

just create the ad groups by topics, and move the keywords using the move keyword tool there.

Check out the new offline adWords management utility from Google first before you spend money elsewhere - http://services.google.com/adwordseditor/intl/en-GB/.

It allows you to download your campaign to your local machine, make all the changes you want offline, then when you're happy, upload all your changes at once.

    And it's free! ;)

I checked out the Google tool to manage Adwords offline. Frankly speaking, I was greatly disappointed.

    1. It was not user friendly (I found it difficult to use, at least)
    2. It is not a drill down system like the main adwords website
    3. Still does not support many functions that Google Adwords site does
    4. Very much cluttered (not at all visually good)

I agree: I prefer the web interface.

But it is still a preliminary release and we will see a lot of changes in near future.

Dan: Check out the new offline adWords management utility from Google first before you spend money elsewhere - http://services.google.com/adwordseditor/intl/en-GB

Thank you for updating me! Previously it was offered to only a small number of adwords users, then they stop others from downloading, now they are allowing us to download again.

It's a shame you can't view click stats and reports which are necessary if you are trying to optimise a campaign based on performance.

I'm not sure as I don't use this tool: But I remember some kind of option that you can enable some kind of stat - is not possible to see clicks enabling this stat?

It doesn't offer clicks statistics or anything, but it imports whole ad groups into Google and 3 other ppc search engines, with their ads too.

    Hi Guys,

I know it is a preliminary release. But Google has set up a high level of expectation. And people expect the same quality and usability from every release they come out with. So do I :)

But this time they have disappointed me.

Adwords editor and excel are by far the most effective tools for campaign management and portfolio creation. Spend a little time with adwords and you will see its full advantages over web UI. I am amazed you guys even consider doing anything in the web UI. Adwords editor can do all the same tasks and more and in a more fast, organized and scalable fashion.
