    Hey,

I rank on page 1 of Google for my keywords, but not in the top 3 :(
My domain does not contain my keywords, which is a disadvantage.

    Should I use domain.com or keyword.domain.com or keyword.domain.com/keyword ?

    Thanks,

There are different thoughts on the use of sub-domains.

For me, Generally it's not a good idea to use a sub-domain unless you have a very large web site.
A sub-domain is treated like a new domain, so you will need to get lots of inbound links in addition to links to your main domain.

while keywords on the domain is important, it is not always possible to have the keyword included on the domain due to availability. but it is still possible to get a site ranked high withouy having the keyword on the domain. your site is already built and ranks on the front page already. using a subdomain or another page URL with keyword extention will just cause more work for you. your link building efforts will also be devided which is not a very good idea. i say you just keeo building some good quality backlinks and you should slowly start climbing higher

This one guy ranks number 1 for "make money" and he has .blogspot.com domain so that it doesn't matter. You have to build up not just backlinks BUT backlinks with proper anchor text keywords.
