Keyword in Homepage Meta

    I was told you should have your main keywords in your homepages metas, (even if you have dedicated pages to those keywords). Now we are almost ranking for the desired keyword, however it is the homepage ranking and not the dedicated page. Should you remove the keywords from the homepage meta (even though they make sense being there) or just continue to build links to the dedicated keyword pages (to try and rank them as well)?

    Keywords in the meta description do not impact ranking.
    Build links to the pages you are wanting to rank. This can even be done internally, linking page text on internal pages to the page you want to rank.
