Keyword in domain name question... singular vs plural

i have two different domain names... one name keyword gets alot more searches than the other but only for a plural term and i have the singular usage, and the other is similar but is a 2 word long tail name.

example... i have widget.com
but widgets (plural) is searched for far more than the singular widget

example 2... i also have newwidgets.com
its searched more than singular widget but well behind widgets plural.

so I am wondering which name to develop first... would widget.com get picked up in the widgets searches (if content and titled and seo'd right of course). or go with the slightly longer tailed newwidgets.com

You can redirect them both to the same site, then you can get traffic from both.

 

Yeah that's the plan... Just trying to figure out which one to make the main site

It depends upon frequency of a search term, if

then go with plural. Again, it depends ....
