Hello. It helps you in Google SE geting on top with keywords if you write keywords in your content with strong font or it doesnt mater: KEYWORD or KEYWORD Any difference?
The weight of bolded (strong) font is so small that it isn't worth the time to make your pages illegible or a hard read. I suggest focus on a human audience and how they will view/read the page content oppose to trying to appease the search engines, because the human traffic is more important. If you have a 800 word article with at least 50 bolded keywords that would not look appealing to a human visitor and does not do nearly enough for search ranking to lose a visitor or bookmark. To answer your question...YES...strong font does make a difference, but it is so small that it is almost unnoticed. So many things factor in for ranking a website that strong font weight is probably 0.00001
Ok tnx then i won't use this method as I didn't in the past. But what about >h1> and >h2> fonts? You use it in title or what? Do they make any sense?
Yes. I am still a proponent of H1/H2 tags and it is probably worth adding H1 tags with or without strong font, but it wouldn't hurt to use strong fonts on the H1 tags because this is usually the title of the page. Just to note: H1/H2 tags do not hold nearly as much weight as it did in the past, but I personally find it useful and appealing to human visitors.
i agree. but we need to look at the whole picture. not only bold face but also italic face, <h1> tag, meta tag, anchor text, image text, all these onsite optimization togather can give you a competitive advantage
Nice info here tnx. Well i need to work more on H1 tags, any of you have a good link, which can tell me how are they used, as I used them only in header of my theme
The bold format of the texts relates to the OnPage factors in the SEO world, which many believe they are gone now as the search engines are concentrating over the power of links for setting the rankings. You might have better SEO results by adding the keywords in your page titles.
Hey mg As far importance, they are one of many factors to be considered when seo/marketing a website. There are several key ingredients to be analyzed for the seo of a site. (For example: density of kws, prominence of the keywords are among a few areas.) But as far as optimization, it should be noted that it is a good idea not to overdue (emphasis of kws) them on a page. (<b>, <i>, etc.) They are in my opinion still necessary/useful for adding emphasis to the kws so the SE's take notice of what the webpage is about. Now that is just for on the page seo which is imporant, but Off the page factors are where the attention should be focused as far as gaining backlinks to the site. Hope that helps mg frenzy25
I believe it won't do you any hurt if you put some H1, H2, or B tags... Well in fact, it is still part of the on-page optimization process...
