Keyword Elite vs. Keywords Analyzer

hi everyone, i'm looking into increasing my kw list for ppc advertising (for example, going from 500 kws to 50k-100k). i started looking into kw research tools, and came across Keyword Elite and Keywords Analyzer and i wanted to see what you guys thought... can any of you give me some input as to:

    * which research tool out there is superior
    * sites with articles specifically relating to building kw lists
    * the steps i should consider taking once i develop my master kw list (maintenance, clean-up, etc...), and things to watch out for

even if you just point me in the direction of other DP threads, or sites, that would be great. (just tryin to get in on the long tail of the game....) any input is appreciated.

    thanks,
    newbie

I have used Keyword Elite and I love it. It is not comprehensive though. Once you have your list, you need to go search for a few more nuggets. It does save so much time though.

I don't have any experience with the other one.

ok i see that http://www.keyword-research-tool.com and http://www.keywordelite.com are the same product, so that's 2 for 2... good to know so far.

i've already read everything on the sales page about the product. but i'm still trying to find out information on how i go about implementing the data into my ppc campaigns. is this something you both knew how to do when you purchased the product, or are the KE forums enough for me to learn from?

do you mean the kw selector tool, when creating a listing? is that what you use instead? no purchased software? how deep can it drill down? i'd like 3k - 5k min kws for each campaign. if you have that many kws, how do you manage?

    thanks!

I'm using Keyword Elite. I've never used Keywords Analyzer so I can't make a
    comparison between the two.

So, here's my opinion on Keyword Elite. It has five different functions, the first
of which is to create a keyword list. You can choose from 100 to 10,000 results.
KE will then do a vertical (search on the term and any phrase that includes the
term) and also a lateral (search on related terms that do not include the specific
    term in it) search.

It queries from various databases that you can choose to use or not use.

KE's second function is to analyze PPC listings. You can add the list of keywords
you just created in the first step or add your own keywords. It will then look
up the number of searches, results, KEI, and bids (number and $) from Adwords,
Yahoo, Miva and Enhance. Again, you can choose to retrieve from all PPC or
    just the once you want.

It's helpful here because you can see the $ bid. If it's low, you can bid for
that keyword. If it's high you can create a page with Adsense on it based
    on the term.

If you have a WordTracker or KeywordDiscovery account, you can integrate
    it with KE.

I won't go through the other functions since I think the two functions above
are the ones that will meet your needs.

    Anyway, hope that helps.

Keyword elite is very bad., it does not allow you to load a keyword list and generate keyword list based on your list (or have i missed it)

I do manage well over 1K keywords when testing a new campain I decide is profitable. Keyword elite does generate keywords based on the ones you have inputted but you must use the:

    remove phrases containing
    and
only show phrases containing boxes extensively.

What I do is keep looking through the list while its being made and keep adding words I dont want and elite takes that whole line out of the list. Once its done you export the list and your done.
