when there should be. Ie ''weight loss' how can there be no competing terms? I guess a lot of members here would have keyword elite... so is this a firewall issue? what do I do? thanks
I tried KE before and I had the same problem. I think it has something to do with your firewall or security settings. I use Market Samurai now and I like it a lot more than Keyword Elite. They have a 30 day trial still I believe so you can try checking that out. I haven't had any of the same issues with MS as KE.
Curtis, I could do it manually but it takes so long! I use quotes - it still doesn't work. J1218, I tried to look it up on google and read on the warrior forum that it could be a firewall issue but no one seems to have explained how to get it resolved. The only reason I'm using keyword elite is because it offers a free trial. I purchased gsniper and keyword elite was recommended, it seemed like a great product- now I'm not so sure. I'll try out MS, thanks but if anyone could help me with this it would be great.
Keyword Elite was recommended by George Brown because he's friends with Brad Callen, the creator of KE. And he also sent you through his affiliate link so he makes a commission off of it. I took the trial too and it is a good tool, don't get me wrong, but the problems that I was having weren't worth it. The support team did nothing to help me out either, all they said was "It's your computers security settings" but didn't even attempt to help me fix it. I took the trial to Market Samurai after it was recommended by the 30 day challenge crew and I haven't looked back. It's saved me so much time and you get a ton of good information.
Michelle, Finding your competition is quite easy and super fast. If your keyword is weight loss then type in google "weight loss." The competition is 56,800,000 which is of course way to much unless you plan on working on this keyword for along time. It is best to use long tail key words such as "how to lose weight fast and easy" which as 398000, still a bit high but more doable. Just make sure you spell it correctly otherwise you will come up with a bad number.
I know, I noticed I was being re-directed through his affiliate link and he was promoting the product but I was taken in by it and I planned on cancelling after the trial was over so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. If I did want to buy any product on clickbank I would purchase through my own affiliate link. But KE was specific to the product he was promoting and seemed to do the job well as he demonstarted on his video so that's why I downloaded it. I'll try out Market Samuri, but I'm going away in a few days and wanted to geta few sites up and running.... looks like I won't have time as I'll need to learn the how to work the new software presumably....
I've tried long tail keywords aswell! that was just the first term I put in because I wanted to test it out. The were many variations but there were no results for competing pages. The competing results did actually show up for a few of the search queries then it just stopped all of a sudden. How strange
apparently it happens with the full version aswell. I turned off my firewall to see if that changed again- no change at all.... I'll just have to wait for them to get back to me
Quick question:Can 'you' get banned by google for sending too many requests in a day? I was just watching a youtube video by Market Samuri (Day 2 of 30 day challenge) and he said something along the lines of getting banned by google if you submit large requests I did make lots of requests and noticed afterwards that everytime I tried a search in 'google' I had to enter a captcha phrase as google didn't know whether I was human or not.... thankfully that has message now disappeared. I have also deleted KE - had enough of that.
Google will put a block on you if you send too many queries in a short amount of time but it goes away after a few hours. Market Samurai is really easy to learn. Go through some of the videos in the 30 DC and you will know pretty much all you need to about it. You could have it learned by tonight and start putting sites up soon.
I could have yes but 30 days is quite a lot. As I will be going away on holiday in a few days there's no point taking advantage of this trial until I get back. With KE it was only 2 weeks so I thought I might aswell give it a try even if it's just a few days. I had initially intended to do keyword research today, pick out 5 keywords, do the site building and social bookmarking tommorow, repost content on following day and then be off.... but it didn't quite go according to plan. Oh well.
Got really worried for a moment! I think that *may* have been the problem with regard to competing pages but who knows and what the hell anyway, it's deleted now and it kept crashing and freezing my computer so good riddance.
I didn't mean to go through the entire 30 DC tonight lol. The first few videos introduce you to MS and teach you all the things you need to know in order to get started. You could probably get through them in about an hour or 2.
I listened to videos 1 & 2 on youtube which spoke about keyword research and competition. I think it was 27 minutes for each video. What i meant when i said '30 days is a lot' is that the trial is 30 days so my time will be ticking away when I can't use it so no point in that! I didn't think I would find anything but I have luckily found two 'hopefully' profitable long tail keywords so I will just log off now and get to work! thank you
