You will probably find my keyword research article useful. I talk about both manual keyword research and keyword elite.

If Keyword Elite is patched to use more accurate search frequency data than Overture it will work fine.

I have a friend who buys alot of garbage and I can say having used it, that it's pretty bad. It basically lets you select some databases or search engines, and it will use a thesaurus to find similar words, then it looks it up on whatever search you used and finds similar keywords that appear in the title (they may not receive any traffic at all). Then you have the option of exporting the list which is filled with lots of keywords that are irrelevant or just won't get you any traffic because their nonsense or they're very long winded or both ("Completely Easy Total Package of A Monkey Dancing with Three Frogs in Plum Sauce in a Mans TopHat"). You will get a few good ones though, then you have the option of inserting your adsense id and it will go online and find some over-used articles based loosely on those keywords. It takes the article inserts your adsense, and blam it spits out html pages. You upload them and Google eventually indexes your site and you become rich.

If only that were true, the real joke is that your site will get no traffic because those articles are overused and when Google spiders your page it finds that its dupe content, you end up penalized or pushed to the supplementary index. No one will ever see your MFA article pages. You could however write your own articles for each keyword but that defeats the point of using keyword elite. I don't recommend it personally, you could do the same thing manually in 4-6 hours and have better results since you have more customizability doing it manually..it's only that investment of time and gathering the resources takes time.

There's a lot of people supporting keyword elite, but you'll notice they usually have something to gain like an affiliate id in the signup url. Save your money.

Slincon, thanks for the feedback, I thought is was just a keyword tool I did not realise it done all that other stuff. I just want to make my keyword searches easier for my site. Looks like there are no short cuts in this then.

It is better than Slincon makes it out to be, and I don't even use the MFA section of the software.

Read the article I listed above, I write about Keyword Elite in an unbiased tutorial for finding profitable niches and I have no affiliate links.

I used to use Keyword Elite until that Overture thing started happening and then when they switched to the free WordTracker tool, it started asking for you to enter that little code every 2 minutes. Got on my nerves. Anyways I checked out this other tool called Nichebot. Got a refund for Keyword Elite right away after seeing the power of it. I've posted a video on the real power of Nichebot and what it is capable of here: http://www.so-easy.info/camtasia/Nichebot.html

If you're too lazy to watch the video here's a screenshot I got when doing a 2 minute research under the root keyword "iphone":

I've posted this in 2 other threads in this forum, but this is the last I'm gonna mention of it in DP. Hope this helps you.

P.S. It costs a measly $9.99 per month.

The Avid subscription is for hardcore users. I use the lite subscription which gives you 50 premium credits and is more than enough for me. All depends on how much research you need.

areebb, I checked out 'iphone complaints' and it has 357 competitors but no searches per month. Where does NicheBot collect its search statistics?

Also, why did your post look like a huge advertisement...?

live-cms_com, if you think I'm posting an advertisement for an affiliate program which pays $3/month, you have another thing coming. I spent some time making a video and figured, hey, I made something, let me at least make the time I spent on it worthwhile by showing as many people as I can and hopefully some will benefit from it.

Nichebot collects its data from two of the most well-respected keyword databases on the Internet: WordTracker and Keyword Discovery. If you were to signup for them separately, it would cost you $50 and $40 respectively.
It can also collect them from Overture if you choose but as I stated in the video, I don't recommend doing that.

Where are you getting your stats from? It gets no searches? Does that honestly make sense to you with the whole recent events about the iphone being unlocked and the crazy customer complaints that Apple has been getting. You honestly think that search term gets no searches?

Sorry didn't read your reply for a while. Keyword Discovery's data is slightly slower to update than WordTracker's. WordTracker data is from the past 30 days or so, and KD data is for the past year.
