    Hello Folks,

I recently did on-site SEO on one website and in that i selected few keywords, created a description of website. Now my question is good to use same keywords on every web-page of website.

    thanks

its best if you use the main keywords for each page and optimize that web page for the title,meta,h1 focus only 1-2 keywords for each page .

Yes, each page should be treated individually. Along with the KWs, the same applies for the <description> and the <title> tags.

Most SE's either ignore the meta KW tags and description tags now or place very little value on them. However, I would bet that most people still take the time to write them, me included.

Yeah, the keywords are not that important. You do want to have unique title and description tags for each page.

    Hi, Robert

I think you might want to use variants of your main targeted keywords on every single page other than your homepage. You would like to use more long tail or page contents oriented keywords for every page but not the same keyword on every page. :)

    Thanks,

make mata tags in each page but manage your mata tags like your site have 100pages and your keywords like 200 so make separate so its good so you can target easily page wise keywords and get ranking in sort time.

Meta description is basically shown in search engine results pages for your website listing if provided, otherwise, Google picks the content from the website. I always recommend to write a meta description for all the pages keeping users in the mind as there are only users who are going to click on your website after reviewing merit of your listing and a good description can attract a visitor to click on your listing.

On the other hand, most of the SEO professionals say that meta description doesn't help in rankings, but I can prove that meta description helps in search engine rankings. However, its impact is not too much.

Hi robert. Google announced that keywords are not used as seo factor. I'm not sure about other SEs. But it's still recommended that using different keywords for different pages is a good practice.

About description meta tag, it ALWAYS must be different in different pages. If your description tags are repeated, Google will show them in the Google Webmaster Tools. You can check there for pages that need to be fixed.

    Hello All,

Let me ask you this again and let me tell you the whole scenario once again. Please bear with me and suggest me best technique.

I did some research on Keyword on Google Adword Keyword Search and out of list of keyword I selected 6 Keywords for my website. Now on landing page i have used all this 6 keywords in Meta Keywords tag and created one 3 sentence description in Meta Description Tag. I did all the things required for on-site SEO on my landing page (Which is actually "Home Page" or you can say "Welcome Page"). After doing i suddenly realized that well i am may be missing some on my rest of web-site about the SEO. So quickly came here and posted my question. Now this is my official website (Professional Corporate Website) beside landing page i have other pages like "About us", "Services", "Solution", "Career" and "Contact us" - One more thing under "services" page i have 3 more web-page which is service1, service2 and service3.

So now lets come to the point that was just some info about my website actually. As i said i have 6 keyword which suits my business and i have used them in Landing page (All 6 keywords i have used in Landing page). Now my question is do i need to search some more keywords for other pages of website or i have to use same 6 keywords in all pages of my website or i have to use one one keyword from those 6 keywords on each page?. Now lets talk about Description do i need to prepare different Description for each different page or i should use same description which i have used in landing page. Please let me know your best suggestions so that i can imply on my website and can get good traffic

    Thanks

    Robert

This is correct. The keywords are the least important, and you MUST have unique titles and description for EACH page. Otherwise your SEO score will be reduced and your site might be penalized when indexed by some search engine. You have to think logically, each page cannot be about the same thing. If page 2, has and should have different content then page 1, THEN why would they have the same title and description? So each must be unique and it's important for search engines.

Keyword and description, no body is forcing u to do it in all pages
But there are certain benefits of doing it:
Firstly, it lets you display those information on SERPs, which can increase clickthroughs and ultimately more traffic
If you have the same keywords and descriptions on all pages it can also harm your ranking factors as search engines dont identify those keywords with those pages

    There are 3 meta tags
    • Title
    • Description
    • Keywords
Out of these 3 the first two are important, from search engine perspective. Search engines use description tags very often when they do not find enough quality content on any page search engine after indexing the page, display the meta description in the snippet in SERPs.

For the title tag, title is important since the title of URL that is displayed in SERPs is your meta title.

So the better the title, and the descriptive your description is in enticing a searcher to click on your link, more chances are the searches will click on your page. But if you do not have a good title and description then you can loose the traffic. So I would suggest to use both of these tags intelligently on every page of your website.

No. You should have unique titles, descriptions and content which correspond to those on each page.

It would help if given in all the pages.. Indexing is easier & ranking for many terms in search engines.
