Can someone explain how this works? My competitors show a very high count of the keywords that i am also targeting (like 6,000). I'm using the firefox add-on to check this. The confusing thing is that this huge count is not visible on their landing page. Even when viewing the page source, the frequency of these keywords are not visible.
keyword density is the number of your keywords placed on a page. keyword density tools are showing all the percentage of how many words you used on the page...the percentage of a good keyword density a page must have is about 2-4%...achieving 10% is still good. IMO, I do not pay much attention on this issue, keyword density is somewhat ignored at the present time...
Hwllo Corlock, was wondering, why do you think it not relevant for Google or the other Search Engines?
Key word density is very important if your density is to high then it can me interpreted as being keyword stuffed Key word density comes it play of highly competitive terms when anchor and title are enough
To be perfectly and brutally honest, as long as you're writing for your users and not the search engines, keyword density means precisely two things - and Jack left town. Instead of worrying about how many keywords are in your pages, just focus on writing great quality relevant content that people will love.
I hear 1 - 7 percent is optimal, but great content is killer. Word of mouth will get you far more hits.
Keyword density is a great tool for seo. But quality assurance of content must be assured. Otherwise a high keyword density would not give you a good ranking.
Definitely. Lots of spam pages have extreme keyword densities, but I cant help but imagine that Google must be finding ways not to list such fake sites.
