Although keyword density is not as heavily measured as it used to be, it's still fairly important. I have found that if you plan and write eloquent enough, that you can repeat a phrase within content without it appearing too keyword rich. It still reads natural and isn't obnoxious to the site visitor. I wrote an article to address the topic of keyword density that I'd like to share. Just placing keywords based on calculations can't help you too much. Better you should write unique content, place natural keywords where they are needed, and try to place keywords within first two paragraphs.
i see the top ranking websites are not so concentrated on keywords density, the unique and quality content counts.
I don't understand why you should never write for search engines. Isn't that the point of getting views. I thought if your site is easily searchable you get more traffic?
