What do you think is the best keyword density that should be used to have successful SEO article marketing? Soma say that 2-3% density should be OK. What is your opinion?
Each search engine has a different tolerance for keyword density. If you can stay below 5% then you should be fine across the board.
I don't know if anyone told you this or not, but keyword density is nonsense and you should never write for the search engines.
For me, I do think that keywords density helps in SEO. I go from 30th page on google to 6th result on google by optimizing on keywords density alone. Just make it so every pages have desired keyword density but still informative and interesting enough for human reader to read. My primary keyword density is 7-8% but most of them are located in alt and anchor tags - haven't seen any negative effect yet.
from all that i have read, keep your keywords in the first para of your post, 2-3 max.. go on with your article & use keywords if required. Use keywords in alt tags.. how much % does it make..4-5% maybe.. never counted.. but you can calculate the density to ensure your not overdoing the keyword bit..
Seriously folks, did anyone read the links I put into Post #3 on this thread? The only way keyword density will become an issue is if you're not writing naturally. And by then, well the old saying goes that you'll have far bigger problems on your hands.
Hi, Keyword density is not same for all the search engines. Agreed with Soma, for article marketing should be 2- 3 % which can be beneficial. One more thing can be proved handy that keyword should be on the left hand side can give more benefit. Thanks.
Recently i make a website to try on the keyword density and i found that it is useful. First, i use 3% keyword density, stay at about 80~90th pages of SERP but after i increase the keyword density to 8%, the SERP shoot up to first page. (Note: I not doing any link building on this site)
So you made your page more relevant to what the topic was, and you saw an increase... that's not a surprise.
Hey Mannu.... From one "Peon" to another... LOL... (Not sure I like to be called a Peon... since I'm 32 years in Strategic IT Development... and run 36 websites and blogs... but oh well... One must put in one's dues...) Keyword density is one measure that Google is working on. Matt Cutts is pretty much down on over use of keywords. Longtail words are good. But you are correct at 3%. My testing suggests that 3% is key. But... you can put that key on steroids by concentrating on the pairing of Keywords+Relevancy. It is one thing to maintain density, but if WHAT you say is irrelevant, then Google will know. Their organic relevancy recognition is getting better and better. ONce they really figure out how to apply 'ORR' a large number of sites will be in big trouble. This will cut down on the number of sites overall and increase the quality of the ones that remain. So concentrate on your site "making sense" a bit more than salting the mine with words. Nick.
If I remember correctly, the ranking system is Shawn's "tribute" to a certain mass multiplayer online roleplaying game.
At my advice, excluding the keywords density, it's very important that the keywords look like "natural" in the text, this is more important than the density: don't try to fill text with keywords, use them when really needed.
Keyword density isn't that essential. Forget about it. Personally, I write my article naturally then just insert my target keywords afterwards. An article can still rank even if you only mention the keyword once. It boils down to quality and the number of sites that point to it.
Hello Friend, Keyword density is very important in SEO, first keyword density is repeating the words. So your keyword density depends on your content and 4 or 5 % will be good.
i believe 5-7% density is good. also take into account whole number of words on page - if it's long article than 2-3% density would enough.
