What is appropriate keyword density so that it does not look keyword stuffing or cloaking etc. What is recommended method.

Following is my article for keyword: "acne home remedies"

    acne home remedies

The keyword density is around 4% for acne home remedies including the keywords in ALT of images. Is it too much ? What do you guys suggest ?

    Thanks.

Back in the day they used to suggest 5% max, been awhile since I've researched this though

    Cheers,

Unless things have changed, I would assume spam would be like 10% or more

I see. So I assume I am safe. I think I don't need any more keyword optimization. Any other optimization you would recommend for improving my ranking for this keyword ?

KW density of 2-3% should be an ideal one. Try this one out.

5% is good enough. However, dont too care about the keyword density, content will be more important

yes around 3% fantastic, any higher than 5% is unwise, over 10% plain foolish. But as lifeplayer said unique quality content is far more important. besides you'll find if your staying on topic then the keyword density will probably end up around 4% anyway.

Yep 3-4% is ideal, but back it up with some synonyms as well as this is getting more and more important and will make things look more natural.

i am a web content writer and believe it or not, i get a lot of orders for articles with kw densities that are only 1% or less. i am not an seo expert so i am not sure if my clients know exactly what they are doing. it seems though that in general, you should really go for lower kw densities.

I never really think about keyword density when I design sites - if you write good content then the keywords should be there anyway, no real need to shoehorn them in, just let it happen naturally!

there is no doubt about this. anything more than 3 is not good enough and will be considered as spam

keyword density matter more than links, recommended keyword density is less than 4%. i think more than 9% considered as spam.

If it reads awkwardly, it's too much. Keyword density is a myth to some extent, term weight is what matters.

If you think you're using a singular term too much, use some semantically related terms - go to Google and type in a ~ in front of your search term, and see which terms are highlighted in your results, the related terms will be highlighted, and you can use these as a replacement.

If you care to learn more about term weight, here you go:

I would definitely stay around 2-3 percent to be on the safe side at all times.

However i could not see Google penalizing you for having 3-5% either

Keyword density is calculated only on body text and alt tags, isnt it?
There are no other influencing factor on keyword density is there?
