Hello, well i noticed today my arcade has the word games lots of times so i used a tool and the words "game" and "games" has a 11-12% density, is this too much? its mostly due to outgoing links but they cant be changed, games is only part of a keyword im targeting so i dont want to delete it too much. If i made the footer paragraph longer to reduce density would it weaken the value of each keyword? Thanks.
If you are writing a post for your reader rather than an optimized post for google, you don't need to worry about keyword density. For a natural article the keyword density is well optimized and the percent 12 is not an advisable amount.
Keyword densities are things of the past. However if you have 25% or more then it might be an indication that you are keyword spamming. However i don't think it matters much since Google will be applying NLP (Natural Language Processing) to figure out whether you are using keywords in the right context or just placing it here and there to just increase the number of occurrences.
Well like i saw its an arcade so there arent that many, if any articles, all my keywords are game descriptions or the footer article.
The thing is, do not write your articles for search engines, write them for people. If you use your keywords in the proper places, then the percentages will not matter. Learn how to write a quality article, and pay less attention to how often you should be using keywords. The more time you spend on counting words, the less time you have to write quality content. Besides that, there are only 2 places I really recommend keyword placement - in the title and as the first words of the first sentence. From there, write as normal and write for human readers.
Well ive read the "article" and it is written as most people would write this type of thing, keywords dont seem to be misplaced for the sake of it.
