Keyword density: way too high, will it rank in G if I lower KWD?

Ok, noob alert here. Looking at some of my first sites recently I realised that my KWD is way too high. I always thought I was sandboxed, and moved on to other things.

Now that the domains are around the 1 year old mark, I started wondering why they don't rank in G at all. I realised that I went overboard with the kwd, while they rank number 1 in MSN, they are nowhere to be found in G.

So my question is, if I lower the kwd, do you think they will start to rank in G, or have they been written off as spam and I should just forget about them?

 

Not much to do with it. To rank in google you're going to need to get backlinks.

 

Yes IMO kwd isn't worth a lot to G at all. It is to easy for webmasters to manipulate, so follow longroad's advice and get some trusted and related links to your website. It is usually much harder to gain Google's trust than MSN or Yahoo

 

Forget keyword density, write for the humans

Keyword density is just one of 100+ factors and - IMHO - it´s a tail factor.
You can find sites with 0% (zero) KWD ranking TOP.

Go to Google and search for beer (yeah).
The third result is Budweiser´s (www.budweiser.com... I am from Slovakia, formerly Czechoslovakia, unfortunately I never drank this US clone of that Czech beer, so pls let me know if it is your favorite or just a liquid shit). Try CTRL A. Do you see any text containing the word BEER?

Or try to search for CHOCOLATE (your wife´s yeah).
Again, the third result is from HERSHEY´s (www.hersheys.com).

What they do have is 11.700 backlinks out of which 10% has PR of 4 and more.

Instead of working on your keyword density you should rather spend the time on linking as it´s the way...
