Keyword density of 2-word phrase

I was just wondering if anyone had a link or program which will calculate the keyword density of phrases on a site. I've found a bunch for individual words, but I am usually targetting 2 or more word phrases. Thanks for the tips.

The key to creating great content is to write it for the readers, then replace pronouns or synonyms with your keyphrases. Keep your copy readable, though. With this method, you don't need to track keyword density (which search engines don't care about) and your readers will still read the text.

You may also want to use semantically correct markup and format the text properly with it - this will boost your rankings a bit.

I have to disagree there. If your keyword density is much higher than 7% you will probably get penalized for keyword stuffing.

This took effect in what is known as "The Florida Update" http://www.webworkshop.net/florida-update.html

    Good luck.

You also can't forget that other factors outside of the copy can contribute to the keywords. If the page is about wiggly widgets you will probably have an H1 tag that mentions wiggly widgets, and you will have an H2 or more about it, and then you may also have other mentions of it. You can go over the 7% easily with other factors other than copy.
Of course, I don't put much into trying to target a percentage. I just try to write good copy and everything usually falls into place. It's hard to write copy about wiggly widgets and not mention them a few times.

So a page with one word on it (KD = 100%) will get penalised?

KD as a numerical constant is meaningless.

You do not need to be concerned about being penalized for high keywords density. Unless you're using it on spam techniques. There a way not to look keywords spamming.

Correct, if you mention KD to a search engineer they have trouble suppressing a laugh.

The interesting thing is more people believe it is important than those who know it isn't. I guess the myth needs to be busted by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman before some people stop believing it... :)
