Hi When writing an article does keyword density affect the results of just the article site search or does it also affect weighting value of the link when assessed by search engines too? Cheers!
I think this just came up the other day around here (maybe a different board though)...generally speaking I'd say to write your articles for humans to allow for the highest conversion %...if you submit only to high PR directories the SERPS will generally take care of themselves.
Of course you want your article to rank with the search engines, and keyword density can help you do it. However, always write for your readers, NOT the search engines. For your target keywords, aim for a keyword density of 2-4%. Other, less important keywords can have a smaller density than that. If you have a density higher than that, your article isn't going to sound right, and neither the search engines nor your readers will appreciate it!
yes it does matter. however, you dont need too high of a keyword density. somewhere around 2% density is fine. ezine also dont accept articles that has more than 2% kw density. here's a blogpost on how to write the best article: http://www.seofocused.com/blog/seo-content-writing-how-to-write-that-perfect-article
