hey guys Can anyone shed some light on how important Keyword Density is, and what is the suggested % for your target keyword(s) My current site is at 4% Keyword Density for my keywords...
It's a useless metric really. Folks will throw around percentages because they read it somewhere not because they have some sort of evidence to back it up. The golden rule is to write for your visitors not for Google. It only stands to reason that you should have some keywords in there. If you over do it, it just reads poorly. Nigel
As Nigel said, it's useless. For more information, please read these: The Keyword Density of Nonsense by Dr. E. Garcia Why Writing for the Spiders is the Least Sticky Strategy of All by Alan Johnson (for copyblogger.com)
From what I have heard it is 4% But then again, some people just want to know what they are talking about so it may not even matter what the keyword density is. You would have to ask the almighty google.
well, you can also factor the keyword density values of the 10 top positions in Google and then take the highest one if you need a value.
keywords density is not that important, but you should never over do it, otherwise the readers will be bored.
