i have heard key word density also matters in term of high ranking in the search engine and how much percentage it should be there in our article or contant. how to check them . is there any software avail for free in the net
Yes, keyword density should be well taken care of while creating your contents. Keyword stuffing is something frowned upon by most search engines. You can check your keyword density using this Free Keyword Density Checker
How is this calculated? Is it only overall that the keyword should'nt be regared as "stuffed" ? My stats on one of my sites says for one of my keywords: 37% in title, 12 % in h1/h2/h3, 1.8 % in body, 0% in bold, 0% in links, meta description, 8.7%, meta keywords 23% Edit: My most common word on my page is not one of my keyword. And it is in the navigation menu (so it's on every page). Should I replace this text with an image or something to decrease this word's importance?
As a professional writer, I am often asked by clients to optimize website content with key words for the search engines. I always ask my clients to tell me what key word density they want and then I work within my client's parameters. The reason I ask my clients to provide me with their criteria for density is because I don't want to provide incorrect information to my clients and key word density is one of Google's ever changing algorithms that nobody really knows. My opinion based on a lot of experience is that 3% density is more than adequate but my point here is that nobody ever really knows exactly what Google is looking for. SEO people have their opinions about what the best key word density might be but all of the information consists of people's opinions. Only Google knows for sure and they keep changing their algorithms periodically in order to maintain their status as an independent entity that cannot be manipulated from outside the organization.
