How much it should be limited ... ?

You should stay below 2%

 

The keyword density must be well balanced. There are websites where people spam it with full of keywords. This is not helpful rather you will lose rankings. I would recommend you using keyworddensity.com and yes the limit should be 2%

 

I recommend Firefox SEOQuake adon.

 

I do use it. I think it is the most reliable tool to check keyword density, pagerank, link popularity, etc

I use live-keyword-analysis. com for when I am writing content and I use keyworddensity. com to check for pages I need to work on. I shoot for more of a 5-6% density, but thats me.

 

I am checking with Google keyword tools, so in that i am getting good ideas to taking keywords & also how to use keyword and also i must see competition keyword.

I also use iwebtool.com/keyword_density for checking keyword density. It should 2 to 3 percent per page for better optimizing.

 

Many SEO experts consider the optimum keyword density to be 1 to 3 percent. Using a keyword more than that could be considered search spam. The formula to calculate your keyword density on a web page for SEO purposes is (Nkr / Tkn) * 100, where Nkr is how many times you repeated a specific keyword and Tkn the total words in the analyzed text. This will result in a keyword density value. When calculating keyword density, be sure to ignore html tags and other embedded tags which will not actually appear in the text of the page once it is published.

When calculating the density of a keyword phrase, the formula would be (Nkr * Nwp / Tkn) * 100, where Nwp is the number of words in the phrase. So, for example, for a page about search engine optimization where that phrase is used four times and there are four hundred words on the page, the keyword phrase density is (4*3/400)*100 or 3 percent.
