Keyword Density - Advice

    Hello, all.

I just redid one of my sites. I went from zero SEO in the past, to a full-on effort this time around.

Question: Have I overdone my use of keywords such that Google and the other SEs will penalize the site for keyword spamming/stuffing? In other words, how much is too much?

You can view the site and source code at www.TechnologyBuyersAdvocate.com

Keywords I'm focusing on include: information technology procurement, IT procurement, IT vendor negotiations, IT agreements, IT forms, RFI forms, RFP forms, RFI samples, RFI templates--and many related terms and phrases.

    Thanks for your help.

Personally, I'd say you did - specifically on "information technology". Generally though, there is no such thing as "keyword density" unless you're talking about your <title></title> tag contents, headings, anchor link text, and so forth. As for the main page copy (paragraphs and such), don't worry about it. Just write naturally for your visitors. For example, the following paragraph reads like a list (therefore I'd mark it up as such).

    Here's how I'd write it:

Notice the difference? Note that I didn't change your keywords in the paragraph - I just used a list to make it far easier to read. Should your site ever be flagged for human review, having the page copy be easy to read will likely make it easier for your site to pass muster with the search engines as a legitimate resource (not to mention help convert your visitors into customers as well).

Dan, thanks for the great advice.

    Much appreciated.

There are probably portions of other pages to which I might apply the same technique.

    Thanks again.
