my main keyword or should I say keyword set has 257,000 results and after a month i still cannot get back to where we were with our old site, at the top, with our new site. I am only around #6. I have done these: facebook, twitter, blogs, forum posts and link exchanges. And videos on Youtube. what am i doing wrong? new site has same content as old. plus new content. is that keyword competitive? seems like a small one to me.
If yo have moved to a new domain and your old site getting ranked for your keyword OR keyword set, then you should probably get the old domain redirected to the new one. IT will pass the authority and backlinks to the new domain which could result in retaining the old rankings. Since it is a new domain, Search Engines, especially Google takes some time to index the new pages, so you will have to keep up with the link building efforts and will have to wait a while for rankings.
i can't do that, it was a proboards subdomain. meanwhile the site is starting to die and im starting to feel like giving up. i devote hours a day to this and nothing.
