Thanks, quick question. What does the advertiser competition level indicate? Is it how many sites are competing for that term or how much the advertiser is paying?
As a very basic outline, look for terms which have less competition and more searches performed. Logic says these should be easiest to rank for, though I sometimes find the Google keyword tool quite misleading.
MelogKnaj. Most of the worthy tools will give you some indication of competition levels. Some tools only provide a relative graph (ie. Google) which is arguably accurate. While some of the other tools will give you absolute numbers (Microsoft adCentre Add-on for example) to give you a better idea in real numbers. The latest tool I tested (Keyword Magic Pro) gives basic competition data (in real numbers) for all the major search engines - Google, Yahoo and MSN - which is really handy. It's definitely a worthy tool.
