Keyword clouds and SEO

    are keyword / tag clouds effective for SEO? I mean default wordpress tag cloud, I was wondering if I should remove it from my blog to make interface a bit less cluttery and to get rid of huge amount of links on every page. I will keep tags inside the posts though, so they stay relevant.

    My only worries are this, will I loose ranking due to less keyword density? or do I gain from removing so many links?

    site is in the sig btw, in simple words, would u remove that 336*200 tag cloud box from the sidebar?

    Wordpress is nofollow by default and as such the tag cloud links should have no adverse effect.

    PS - You might want to get rid of the gun image....you'll turn off more people than you will turn on.....
