I am running a campaign with around six keywords. One of them has a "great" QS and with a minimum bid reqd of $0.05 This ad also shows - - "This keyword is not triggering ads Your ad shares a similar Display URL with a competing, higher ranking ad." I have never increased the bid to show it, I just thought I would wait awhile. However for the last week it is showing clicks and I am being charged and they do go through to CJ. I am bidding $0.60 and now being charged $0.49. My question is, how do I now manage my bid? since it is being shown and I am told it is.nt, can I bring down the bid or not??? Does anyone know how that works? thanks,
what are you willing to pay for this keyword? as the note stated, "...your ad shares a similar display URL with a competing, higher ranking ad..." if you are not will to increase the bid, then i would just pause the keyword so you for sure won't get changed. maybe change the landing URL for that particular advert... just becuase Google says your keyword isn't triggering ads, doesn't mean they don't ever show. for instance, if your daily budget is low, but your keywords create a lot of impressions, Google figures you will want that advert to show througout the day instead of just in the morning. To do this, the ad shows on and off during the course of the peak impression periods. This prevents your campaign from being shut off in the morning because your daily limit was met early.
thanks for your answer, yes it makes sense now. I thought that if it was'nt going to show then it would not at all but your answer makes sense.
