keyword brackets

Hello, say I have a keyword e.g. cat food

I understand that "cat food" in quotes would just search the whole phrase.

What would [cat food] do?

Have a look at google adwords support for matching options

not sure that []brackets are relevent.

"cat food" will be shown is someone searches :

food cat
cat food

[cat food] will be shown is someone searches:

cat food in the exact order

 

Adword count it for Exact Match; Read "Exact Match" http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=6100
