Hi, I have my keywords and I'm working on putting them on my site, I am using ms word to write the words for the pages and I use seoquake in firefox to see the density in the pages, the problem is the main text come up with like 350 words including my keywords in word but when put them on the site seoquake seems to be reading more text than that, like if I put my site in kwintessential online word count tool, it shows like 800+ words, is seoquake reading everything like the source code? I just need an easier way to enter my text and keywords instead of going back and forth guessing what is the right amount...... Thanks
I think MS Word adds some extra code, try pasting into a text editor like notepad first and then copying that before copying and pasting it to your page.
Don’t worry too much about keyword density and just write your articles and posts with the user in mind. And yes Microsoft Word does add some code, so like bob already said just paste your text into notepad and then from notepad to seoquake. This should resolve your problem. Regards
Keyword density: (The number of times the keyword is used * 100) / Total word count of the whole article
