I have a website that is asking to provide a link on their PR 4 website to my blog. My homepage is a PR 5. My first question is if I add him to my blogroll, will it hurt me by reciprocating with a lower PR? Second question: I really am working on a competetive keyword in the NJ real estate industry. The keyword has me as SERP #8 for my homepage and a SERP #21 for a subpage that has all of the keyword's main content on. I would really like to promote the subpage more than the homepage for this specific keyword simply because that is where all the info is. If they reach my homepage through organic search, they kind of have to browse through the homepage to get to the subpage. My question is, should I get the backlink from PR4 to my homepage with my keyword as anchor text, or should I get the backlink to my subpage. My subpage is a PR 3 so it is pretty strong in PR, but not so much in SERP. Will getting the backlink to my subpage not only help that specific page, but also my homepage SERP indirectly? Sorry for the lengthy question. any advise is appreciated.
