You are supposed to decide what keywords to target before you start writing. Pick keywords that have little competition but many searches.

 

First, make a list of services you provide, and think what will you write to search these services, then check the list from Google keyword suggestion tool. Look for those keywords that gives you traffic, but realistic about things that either you can get that keyword on first page of Google or not. Also look for long keywords.

Look what keywords they are targeting. What I think it is one of the best ideas to find keywords. Then go to Google keyword tool to find search volume & competition. Picking up the keywords for your site is a tricky job for cacheing of your web site. It depends upon the activities u do on your web page. Better crieteria to choose a right keyword is to choose those keywords which face less competition and more searches on them.
