Keyword amount

Hi Guys,

i bought keyword elite and when i do a search on specific keywords it tells you how many times the keyword is searched per day! my question is what number would be safe to use?

some keywords are 2,7,24 where others are 1,456 and into the millions! should i stay below a certain number at all?

it's not the number of searches per day that is so important, its who currently has the top result positions FOR those keywords. Search for the ones you want to target and see if you think your site has enough authority to rank higher on that keyword than the current top 8.

 

There is no certain number you should stay below, the more searches daily the better however the key is finding high searched keywords with low amount of competition (search results)

The best way to find out how many competitors you have for that keyword is to put it in parenthesis. Putting your keywords in parenthesis will let you know whether you want to compete for that particular keyword or not.
